The Laelaps app interfaces with a handheld VHF Communicator through Bluetooth Low Energy to track other communicators and dog collars equipped with precision GPS. A 2 Watt MURS band radio provides off-grid line of sight range exceeding 17 miles. Positions and text messages received at the handheld VHF communicator are presented on a map at your phone.
